Wire wrapping is an ancient form of jewelry making that dates back as far as 2000 bc. This style of jewelry is completely cold worked and requires almost none of the tools one would require for making jewelry in the traditional sense (torch, jewelry saw, solder, etc). The techniques used in making this type of jewelry lend itself to one of a kind pieces as the intricate nature of the medium is non repeatable in a production sense. This class will go over design, and execution of wire jewelry, and the skills learned can be applied to your own designs, enabling you to make unique pieces that are only limited by your imagination and ingenuity.
Each participant will be given their own pair of wire wrapping pliers that they can take home to keep practicing the skill!
